Could you be one of the people we are searching for? We are a vibrant growing Anglican church in West Auckland. At least one-third of our congregation on Sunday is under the age of 18 and comes from a variety of ethnic backgrounds.
Full-time Youth Pastor
This person will work with our current ministry leaders to care for our young people from school ages year 7 through 13.
They will have good biblical knowledge and ideally some youth ministry training.
This person will be responsible for organising our Sunday youth program and also other youth sessions and events as appropriate.
They will be able to communicate to young people a passion for the scriptures, a love for Jesus Christ, a hunger for worshiping God and engaging with God’s presence.
They will be a team player who has compassion and concern for the unchurched.
Experience in a Christian church-based ministry would be an asset.
Some experience developing and growing team leaders would be valuable.
Part-time Children’s and Families Pastor (25 hours per week)
This team member will ensure our children’s ministry program is happening on Sundays but also encourage a growing ministry to the wider community for children and their families.
You will work with the current team of children’s ministry leaders providing resources for the program.
Involvement in preparation of intergenerational worship services will be required during school holiday seasons.
Sound biblical knowledge is required and some experience of working in this area is desirable.
Experience in a Christian church-based ministry would be an asset.
